Sweet Pepper Salad, a Flavorful Topping

This sweet pepper salad is a very flavorful vegetable topping for your favorite grilled meat. It is so popular across all kitchen including African cuisine.

What I like about this is that it goes with almost every meal. Whether it is a breakfast omelet or avocado toast. You can just add some leafy greens to it and you will get a standard salad.

It can be very versatile but it must have red onion in it! The flavor will wake up any sleepy appetite.

My aunts love making this often and set it on the dinner table for every meal along with hot pepper sauce. This sweet salad always get eaten one way or another. The leftover can be heated and repurposed into other recipes.

Anyway for this recipe, you will need:

  • Red onion
  • Jalapeno deseeded
  • Red bell pepper
  • Lime juice
  • Olive oil
  • Salt & pepper
  • Optional (bouillon, garlic, parsley)

Ingredients

1 medium red onion

4 jalapenos peppers deseeded or any other green

1 big red bell peppers

½ lime

1/2 clove of garlic (optional)

Salt and pepper (to taste)

1/4 cup of olive oil

Optional parsley (about 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley)

Optional bouillon (to taste)

Instructions

Slice all vegetables very thinly

In a bowl add all vegetable together with the olive oil, salt, pepper, lime juice, and the optional bouillon.

Mix well and serve fresh as is or with your favorite meal.
