Turmeric tea (thé de curcuma)

Hot turmeric tea is just the perfect drink of all time. Ingredients

Turmeric powder or fresh organic turmeric root

3 cups of boiled water

Honey (optional) I personally prefer my turmeric tea without sweetener

Instructions

1

Pour boiled water into your tea cups

2

Add 1 teaspoon of organic powdered turmeric (when using powdered turmeric)

Or

4

Add about 1 teaspoon of grated cleaned turmeric root

5

Add sweetener (Optional)

Serve

    This looks so comforting, I love trying new ways to make tea! So far I’ve only known turmeric as a spice, will have to give it a try as I have powdered turmeric at home!

    Whoa this is so easy! Everything I already have in the pantry. I’m wondering if I will turn yellow if I eat too much tumeric (cuz I do… and I’ve heard of people turning orange from eating too many carrots…)

    Mmmm, this looks like a delicious tea. I add tumeric to a lot of dishes, but I don’t usually think to make tumeric tea. Going to need to try it this way too. 😉

    I often use turmeric in my food but I never tried the tea!
    Now that I learned that it’s good for the stomach and teeth👍, I should try it!

      Salut maman de Sara. Please try it. but know that when you drink it right away your teeth will be yellow, but after brushing your teeth and over time it will be whiter. 🙂

    I’m going to the grocery store asap to get tumeric! I’ve used it for cooking but it wasted because the package was pretty large. I had no idea what to do with all that tumeric! I know now! Tea! Thanks for sharing!

    I’ve started using turmeric quite a bit, both for flavor and for health. I now have rheumatoid arthritis as a lasting gift from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever last year, and turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties help.

      Exactly, the anti-inflammatory properties it so worth it. The base of lot of autoimmune condition is the inflammation, so this helps tremendously in prevention and easing the condition effect on our body.
